Sesame seed slice
1 1/2 cups sesame seeds
1 1/2 cups desiccated coconut
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Brands I used:
* Sesame seeds – SF Health Foods brand from the health food shop. I have not been able to find sesame seeds at Woolworths and the Coles sesame seeds have traces of gluten possibly milk & soy too from memory. The gluten has given me an itchy mouth in the past.
* Coles own brand dessicated coconut – allergy advice is contains sulphites which we are fine with
* Peanut butter – sanitarium or aldi brand I have used. NOTE Coles own brand contains soy.
Combine ingredients thoroughly
Press into a pre lined baking tin (lined with baking paper)
Bake @ 150 degrees for 30 minutes or until light golden brown
Cut into squares whilst hot. Leave to cool before serving or eating.
