How good is this sushi label… I think it would be good if ALL food vendors had to disclose ingredients OR have on their menu what/ if any of the top 8 allergens are contained.
I know some companies don’t want to disclose all ingredients as they want to keep their specialties a secret and that’s fine but why can’t they be required to disclose what top 8 allergens are in their menu items so that we don’t have to ask staff who don’t always know ? Currently menus seem to fall outside of the disclosure legislation and I don’t think they should in a culture who eats out so frequently . .
I know regulation and implementation might be costly but surely not that costly and it is definitely one that some of the larger vendors could easily bare.
What are your thoughts on this ? I could potentially lobby this or at least suggest it for consideration….
